Browse Finding Aids:
- Read short descriptions or select individual finding aids.
Search the Finding Aids:
- Search across all of the selected institutional archives finding aids from "New Search" or "Search the Finding Aids"
- Search within an individual finding aid from "Search within this Finding Aid"
Search Tips:
- Type word(s) in any order. Word(s) may appear anywhere in a finding aid.
- Use quotation marks to search for words in exact order, e.g., "guggenheim museum"
- Use an asterisk (*) to truncate a word, e.g., photogra* finds photograph, photography, photographer, etc.
Search Results
- Select "Keywords in Context" to view the finding aid with your search terms highlighted
- Select "Browsable View" to view the finding aid in standard format
- Select "Print/Save View" to view the finding aid as one continuous document that you can download (save) or print
Printing a Finding Aid from "Print/Save View"
Some finding aids can be several hundred pages long, e.g., 449 pages (3120 K bytes).
- Before printing, please check the length of the finding aid.
- To determine the number of pages:
- Click "Print/Save View"
- Select "Print Preview" (in the browser "File" menu)
- If the document is too long to print, consider printing only a section of the document (e.g., Series 1: Correspondence) by returning to the "Browsable View"

Download (Save) a Finding Aid
The finding aids are available online via any internet connection.
- If you are at the Getty Research Institute, you may download the finding aid using your own media:
- a flash drive in the USB port
- a CD/DVD
- Be aware that some of the finding aids, especially those with images, may be large
- To see the file size, go back to the "Browsable View"
